William L. Reisher

William L. Reisher, age 79 of Hillendale Rd. Chambersburg, PA died at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 24, 2015 in the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg.

Born February 16, 1936 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of the late Walter E. and Helen M. (Reeder) Reisher. He married his wife Shirley I. (Overcash) Reisher on September 22, 1956.

Mr. Reisher retired after 32 years of employment at the Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg. He was a charter member of the New Franklin Assembly of God Church, member of the Franklin Fire Co. and a member of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship. Bill was a US Army veteran and in his younger years served in the Civil Air Patrol.
He was a 1954 graduate of Chambersburg High School and attended Chambersburg Business School. He was an avid woodworker and carpenter and enjoyed helping others.

Surviving family in addition to his wife are one daughter Tonya Mickey and husband Timothy of Chambersburg, one son, Timothy Reisher and wife Shelley of Lacey, WA, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one sister, Shirley Sanders of Chambersburg and two brothers, Joseph Reisher and Michael Reisher both of East Waterford, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30 at 2:00 PM from the New Franklin Assembly of God Church 2355 New Franklin Rd. Chambersburg with Rev. William Dick officiating. Burial will be in the Harbaugh Church Cemetery near Rouzerville, PA. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service on Wednesday. The family requests the omission of flowers and memorial contributions be made in his memory to the New Franklin Assembly of God Church 2355 New Franklin Rd. Chambersburg, PA 17202.
