Wilbur J. Coldren

Wilbur J. Coldren, age 87 and a resident of The Village Of Laurel Run, Fayetteville, PA. and formerly of Greencastle and Baltimore died at 6:15 A.M. Thursday, May 19, 2011 in the nursing home.

Born August 26, 1923 in Fayette County, PA., he was the son of the late J.R. and Mary M. (Conway) Coldren.

He served for 25 years in the Merchant Marines and had also worked in the shipyards of Baltimore and was last employed as a security guard.
Wilbur was a life member of the American Legion and V.F.W. in Essex, MD. He was a World War II veteran of the American Merchant Marines (Coast Guard).
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Coldren.

Surviving family are two sisters Ruth (Mrs. George) Dopp, Greencastle, Delores McCullough, Weirton, W.VA., two brothers, James Coldren, Lodi, Ohio, Donald Coldren, Edmond, OK., and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanfh.com
