Watson Grosh Elliott, age 95 of 53 Alleman Rd. Chambersburg, Pa. went to be with his Lord at 3:03 P.M. Saturday October 17, 2009 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born January 8, 1914 in Antrim Twp. Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late William Martin and Mancha J. (Grosh) Elliott.

Watson was a farmer and later worked as a carpenter for Galen Fox and last worked at Anvil Products (now Beck Mfg.) of Greencastle.

He was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church of Chambersburg where he served on the church board for 20 years, served as Sunday School superintendent and on the building committee. In more recent years he attended the Greencastle Church Of God.

He and his wife, Goldie Irene (Rice) Elliott were married February 10, 1934 in Hagerstown, Md. She died on May 23, 2005.

Surviving family are a daughter Darlene E. (Wife of Rev. Norm) Gloeckler, Chambersburg, Pa., two grandchildren Kelanie Joy Gloeckler, Jacksonville, FL. , Philip Norman Gloeckler, Benson, N.C. and one sister Josephine Foust, resident of Menno Haven of Chambersburg.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Carl Elliott, Dwight Elliott and two sisters Esther Snider and Naomi Wingert.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 22 at 11:00 A.M. from the Greencastle Church Of God 4480 Buchanan Trail West Greencastle with Pastors Floyd Myers, Garry Kipe and Norm Gloeckler officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given in his memory to the building fund of Bethel Assembly Of God Church 400 Miller St. Chambersburg, Pa. 17201 or to the building fund of the Greencastle Church Of God 4480 Buchanan Trail West Greencastle, Pa. 17225 Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanfh.com
