Virginia M. Starliper, age 88 a resident of the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Chambersburg and formerly of Angle Rd. Chambersburg died at 3:00 A.M. Monday April 12, 2010 in the nursing home.
Born April 13, 1921 in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Paul M. and Hilda M. (Fox) Black.
She was a cook at the former Keystone Country Kitchen Waynesboro, Sunnyway Diner and Antrim House Restaurant both of Greencastle. Virginia attended the Antrim Assembly Of God Church Greencastle.
Her husband, Eugene W. Starliper died in 1967.
Surviving family are two sons, Ronald E. Starliper and Harold N. Starliper, both of Chambersburg, three sisters Helen Harne, Waynesboro, Julia Goshorn, Chambersburg, Dorothy Jean Knode, Greencastle, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Richard C. Starliper in 1951, a grandson Douglas Starliper in 1980 and also by three brothers Richard Black, William Black and Robert Black.
Funeral services will be held on Friday April 16 at 2:00 P.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor Renee Berkey officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Friday.
