Varner-Belle Kannenberg, age 90 of Shady Grove, Pa. and formerly of North Allison St. Greencastle, Pa. and Baltimore, Md. died at 2:55 P.M. Monday December 6, 2010 in her caregiver''s home on Hamilton Dr. Chambersburg, Pa.
Born November 22, 1920 in Baltimore, Md. she was the daughter of the late Leon L. and Nettie D. (Snyder) Larsen.
She had worked as a secretary for an United Methodist Church in Baltimore. She was a member of the First Assembly Of God Church in Greencastle and attended the Greencastle Senior Center where she enjoyed helping in the kitchen.
Her husband Karl R. Kannenberg died on July 26, 1998.
Surviving family are one son Robert L. Kannenberg and wife Donna, Shady Grove, Pa., one granddaughter Kristen Wilkerson, two step granddaughters, number of step great grandchildren and two step great- great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Janet Sandve and a granddaughter Dawn Merryman.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 9 at 10:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, Pa. with Pastor Daniel Barnes officiating. Burial will be in the Meadowridge Memorial Park in Baltimore, Md. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 P.M.
