Tracey Lynn Potter

Mr. Tracey Lynn Potter, 48, of Greencastle, died suddenly, Tuesday evening, March 5, 2013, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Mrs. Kimberly Ann Goetz Potter, his wife of 22 years.

Born October 15, 1964, in Hagerstown, he was a son of Mrs. Mary Ann McCleaf Potter of Hagerstown, and the late Mr. Arnold Dale Potter, who died in 2010. He graduated Greencastle-Antrim High School in 1982.

Mr. Potter was the Owner and President of Hagerstown Aircraft Services, Inc., which he acquired in 1997.

He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Greencastle.

Tracey''s life centered on his family, and flying and aviation. Consequently, he was active with local organizations that revolved around these activities and interests. He served on the Board of the Hagerstown Aviation Museum; was currently the President of Greencastle Quarterback Club; and helped his sons with Scouting and Little League activities.

Additionally, Tracey enjoyed attending air shows, flying model airplanes with friends, and attending games and functions with his family.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by three sons, Nicholas L., Matthew B. and Andrew M. Potter, all at home; his brother Todd Potter and wife Kathy Greencastle; his in-laws, Ronald "Pete" and Mary Lou Goetz; all of Greencastle; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home, 45 South Carlisle Street, Greencastle, Sunday, March 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held from Mr. Potter''s place of business, Hagerstown Aircraft Services, 14235 Oak Springs Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, on Monday, March 11, at 10:00 AM. His friend and colleague, Joseph S. Hartt, will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to further his sons'' education.
