Stephen Glenn Cunningham, age 61 of Greencastle died unexpectedly Friday, June 28, 2013 in his home.
Born August 8, 1951 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Walter Glenn and Violet E. (Palmer) Cunningham.
He had been employed at Grove Worldwide (Manitowoc Crane) in Shady Grove and then worked with his father at Cunningham''s Automatic Transmission Service in Greencastle. Stephen was a 1969 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
In his earlier life, he attended the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greencastle. He was a member of the Allison-Antrim Museum of Greencastle.
Surviving family are one sister Joan M. Newcomer and husband Thomas of Chambersburg and a number of cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 2 at 11:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Martin H. Horn officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. There will be no public viewing but the family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Allison-Antrim Museum 365 South Ridge Ave. Greencastle, PA 17225 or to the American Diabetes Association 301 Chestnut Street, Suite 101 Harrisburg PA 17101 or to the American Heart Association 417A Phoenix Dr. Chambersburg, PA 17201.
