Stephanie Lauren Zeis, age 18 of 9597 McClanahan Rd. Greencastle, Pa. died Sunday evening December 30, 2007 at the scene of an automobile accident in Penn Township Cumberland County, Pa.
Born March 9, 1989 in Chambersburg, Pa. she was the daughter of Doug and Brenda G. (Mowen) Zeis of Greencastle, Pa.
She was employed as a groomer at Petsmart in Hagerstown. Ms. Zeis was a 2007 honor graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School and attended grooming academy in Frederick, Md. She was a three year
varsity softball player having played on three division teams (''05, ''06 and ''07) and her team claimed the Mid Penn Conference Championship in 2007.
She had played softball since she was age 8 and was also a member of the 2001 National Slow Pitch Softball Team that played in Kentucky and a member of the National Fast Pitch Team that played in Alabama.
She loved her family, hunting, deep sea fishing and going to the beach.
Ms. Zeis loved small animals and worked as a volunteer at the Washington County Humane Society in Hagerstown.

Boy Friend, Jeff Ensor, Shrewsbury, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Arlene and Eldon Mowen.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 5 at 11:00 A.M. from the Antrim Brethren In Christ Church 24 East Kauffman Rd. Chambersburg with Rev. Ky R. Searcy and Rev. Joseph L. Stahura officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 - 9 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Humane Society of Washington County 13011 Maugansville Rd. Hagerstown, Md. 21740.
