Ruth Anne (Lindenfelser) Gacki, age 90 of Wesley Dr. Quincy Village, Quincy, PA died at 6:35 AM Monday, September 30, 2013 in her home. She had been in declining health the past several years.

Born October 27, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Margaret (Duerbeck) Lindenfelser. She married Peter F. Gacki on April 18, 1959. He died on June 11, 2013.

She was a homemaker and prior to her marriage she worked at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in New York. Ruth was a member of the St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church of Greencastle where she was a member of the P.C.C.W. of the church.

Ruth attended the Greencastle Senior Center and volunteered with the Meals On Wheels program. She graduated from the Girls Commercial High School in Brooklyn New York and attended the Cooper Union Art School in New York City. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, calligraphy and was a talented artist.

Surviving family are one son Thomas P. Gacki and wife Brenda of Harrisburg, PA, one daughter Margaret M. Gacki of Cumberland, MD, two grandchildren Grace E. Gacki and Zachary M. Gacki both of Harrisburg, PA and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Michael F. Gacki in 1987, one brother and three sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday October 4 at 11:00 AM from the St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church 385 S. Ridge Ave. Greencastle, PA with Rev. Joseph L. Stahura, celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Andrew Catholic Church Cemetery in Waynesboro. There will be a visitation on Friday from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Lutheran Home Care And Hospice Inc. 2700 Luther Dr. Chambersburg, PA 17202.
