Roy Phenicie, Jr., age 81, of 1968 Farmall Dr., Greencastle, PA., died unexpectedly at 1:00 AM, Thursday, January 3, 2008 in ManorCare Health Services of Chambersburg, PA.
Born July 21, 1926 in Greencastle, PA. he was the son of the late Roy and Pearl (Yeagle) Phenicie.
He retired after 38 years of employment from the Letterkenny Army Depot of Chambersburg, PA.
Mr. Phenicie was a Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. He was a Life Member of the Clarence Armstrong V.F.W. Post # 6241 and the Harry Lackhove American Legion Post # 517 both of Mercersburg, PA.
He was an avid horseman and was a member of the Juniata Saddle Club. He also enjoyed farming.

Wife, Verna (Dorty) Phenicie of Greencastle, PA.
One Daughter, Cindy R. Oberholzer of Greencastle, PA.
Two Granddaughters, Sheena J. Hornbaker and Keisha L. Hornbaker both of Greencastle, PA.
One Sister, Louise Stouffer of Mercersburg, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA. with Rev. Floyd E. Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, PA. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
