Ronald E. Walck

Ronald E. Walck, age 70, of 12350 Carol Ave., Greencastle, PA died at 4:10 A.M. on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at his home.

Born September 10, 1938 in Marion, PA he was the son of the late Robert and Bertha (Cordell) Walck.

He and his wife, Sharon M. (Knepper) Walck where married on June 6, 1965 in Marion, PA.

Mr. Walck retired from Beck Manufacturing in Greencastle. He was a United States Army Veteran.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marion, PA where he sang in the choir. He enjoyed hunting and was a Washington Redskins and Baltimore Orioles fan.

Surviving family in addition to his wife of 44 years are, a daughter Tami S. Souders of Boonsboro, MD and a son Michael E. Walck of Chambersburg, PA. One sister, Emma Swope of Greencastle, PA and three brothers, Jaye Walck, Richard Walck and Frank Walck all of Greencastle, PA. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Miriam Overcash, Ruth Dawson and Gladys Forney and two brothers, Robert Walck and Glen Walck.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle with Rev. Chris Renner officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
