Robert M. "Bob" Barnhart

Robert M. “Bob” Barnhart, age 80, of Gearhart Rd. Greencastle died Sunday evening March 5, 2017 in the Waynesboro Hospital.

Born June 8, 1936 in Antrim Twp. Franklin County, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Clara May (Spangler) Barnhart. He married his wife Geraldine A. (Gelsinger) Barnhart on June 25, 1954.

Bob in his earlier years was a farmer and then he worked and retired from Grove Worldwide (now Manitowoc Cranes) in Shady Grove. Following his retirement, he had a small engine repair business at his home.

He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1961-63.  He and his wife had attended Five Forks Brethren In Christ Church.

Surviving family in addition to his wife are one sister G. Marie Sheffler of Waldorf, MD and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death one brother Charles E. Barnhart and three sisters, Kathryn Stotler, Helen Murray and Anabelle Oberholzer.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday March 10 at 1:00 PM at the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg with Pastor Leon R.  Yoder officiating. There will be no public viewing.
