Richard Leroy "Dick" Johnson

Richard Leroy "Dick" Johnson, age 85 of Greencastle, PA, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 6:34 P.M. in his home.

Born February 24, 1924 in Upton, PA he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Deitrich) Johnson.

He was a Veteran of World War II. He retired in 1986 after working 35 years for Hicks Chevrolet as a body shop foreman.

He was married to the late Pauline (Ott) Johnson, they had four children; Ronald, Judith, Randy and Jody, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his present wife of 39 years, Eleanor (Carlin) Johnson, he has six step-children; Emma Jean, Clifford, Connie, Jim, Annette and Janice, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was a member of Clayton Memorial Church of God, Mercersburg, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 4th at 10:00 A.M. from the Clayton Memorial Church of God, 6701 Charlestown Rd., Mercersburg, PA with Pastors Karen & Gary Ford presiding. Burial will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
