Rhoda M. (Negley) Gayman

Rhoda M. (Negley) Gayman, age 97, a resident of Penn Hall Nursing Center of Chambersburg and formerly of Lemasters, PA died at 12:34 A.M. Friday, May 15, 2015 in the nursing center.
Born March 11, 1918 in Montgomery Township, Franklin County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence H. Sr. and Rhoda (Graybill) Negley. Her husband Jacob M. Gayman died on November 4, 1996.
She was a homemaker and had worked at the former GEM Garment Co. of Greencastle. Rhoda was a member of the Upton Church Of The Brethren. She enjoyed gardening and visiting with her family.
Surviving family are two sisters Bertha Kenepp, resident of Menno Haven, Chambersburg, Naomi Hunsberger of St. Thomas, PA, step-children, Marlin E. Gayman of Chambersburg, Thelma M. McLucas of Greencastle and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, David Negley, John Negley, Clarence Negley Jr., Paul Negley, three sisters Elizabeth Negley, Ruth Haldeman, Dorcas Sharar and two step-sons Donald Gayman and Lee Gayman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 19 at 10:00 A.M. from the Upton Church Of The
Brethren 8490 Warm Spring Rd. Upton, PA with Minister Dennis Sollenberger and Chaplain Robert Keener officiating. Burial will be in the Meyers Cemetery near Mercersburg. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers. memorial contributions may be given to the Penn Hall Benevolent Care Fund 1425 Philadelphia Ave. Chambersburg, PA 17201. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M.
