Randy J. Barnhart, age 57 of Greencastle, PA died Monday afternoon May 16, 2016 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born November 10, 1958 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of the late Charles Eugene and A. Lorraine (Fahrney) Barnhart.
Randy was co-owner of Just Wood Industries Inc. in Mercersburg, PA. He was a 1977 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School.
Randy was a social member of the Greencastle VFW, Greencastle American Legion and a member of the Mercersburg Moose Lodge #1790. He enjoyed golfing and boating.
Surviving family are one daughter Ashton M. Barnhart of Greencastle, former wife Michelle Smith of Greencastle, five sisters Linda Hykes of Greencastle, Carol Koontz of South Carolina, Nancy Barnhart of Greencastle, Susan Hafer of Warfordsburg, PA, Julie Irwin of Carlisle, PA, three brothers, Barry Barnhart of Shippensburg, Michael Barnhart and Joel Barnhart, both of Quincy, PA
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a stillborn baby Dakota Barnhart on May 16, 1997.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 21 at 10:30 AM at the Greencastle Church of the Brethren with Rev. Leon Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the Grindstone Hill Cemetery near Chambersburg. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be given to the American Heart Association 610 Community Way Lancaster, PA 17603. Online
