Ralph C. Michael, 93, of Greencastle, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning July 13, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Ralph was born on November 23, 1927, in Clarksburg, MD to John W. and Maye (Bishop) Michael.  He grew up in Warfordsburg, PA and graduated from Southern Fulton High School.  Ralph served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, stationed in France.  After his military service, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Marjorie (Swain) Michael on March 6, 1953, and was faithfully married for over 68 years.  He then earned an associate degree from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

He worked as an engineer for Carrier Corporation for several years before founding Foremost Industries in 1960.  Foremost Industries served a four-state area for over 50 years, providing modular homes and buildings to residential and commercial customers.  During his life, he enjoyed spending time with his family, training hunting dogs, and working outdoors.

Ralph will be remembered for his faithfulness to God and family.  He actively served in his local church and various Christian ministries and readily shared the Gospel with others.

Surviving family in addition to his wife are his two daughters, Michele Johnson and Laurie (Don) Myers. He had two granddaughters and two step grandsons: Andrea (David) Hara, Melissa (Drew) Clauson, Brant Myers, and Spencer Myers. He had eight great-grandchildren (Emma, Abigail, Elliott, Joshua, Jackson, Charlotte, Ian, Cameron).

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by one sister (Regina), three brothers (Merle, Paul, and Carl), and his son-in-law (Keith Johnson).

The family will observe a private burial service at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 7 at 11 a.m. at Chambersburg Bible Church on 810 Orchard Drive in Chambersburg.  There will be no viewing but following the service there will be a time of fellowship at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to Appalachian Bible College, 161 College Dr, Mount Hope WV 25880.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanfh.com.
