Ralph Charles Keller, age 91, a resident of the Quincy Village Nursing Center and formerly of Greencastle, PA died at 2:29 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in the nursing center.
Born January 26, 1923 in Greencastle, PA, he was the son of the late Floyd and Verna (Myers) Keller. He married Frances L. (Statler) Keller on October 11, 1947.
Ralph retired from Mack Truck Hagerstown where he had worked on the production line.
He was a US Army Veteran of World War II having served in the 38th Engineer General Service Regiment. He received the purple heart and bronze star medals.
Ralph was a member of the Antrim Brethren In Christ Church near Chambersburg. He was a life member of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319 of Greencastle and a life member of the Greencastle Sportsman Association.
Surviving family in addition to his wife of 67 years are two daughters, Lita K. Naessig and husband Fred of Greencastle, Tina M. Frazier of Greencastle; one son, Dale E. Keller, Big Cove Tannery, PA; three grandchildren, Justin Keller, Zachary Keller, Dylan Frazier and one step-grandson, Andrew Naessig.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Clarence, Clyde, Ernest, Ray, John and Lee Keller and sisters Hazel Myers, Kathryn “Cass” Keller, Ann Myers and Louise Keller Chamberlin.
Funeral services will be held on Monday January 5 at 1:00 PM from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Ky R. Searcy officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the Chambersburg V.F.W. Post #6319 Honor Guard will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens Chambersburg.
