Pearl E. (Neikirk) Roth, age 95, a resident of ManorCare Health Services of Chambersburg and formerly of Heritage Hills Retirement Community of Greencastle died at 7:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in the nursing home.
Born February 20, 1915 in Cearfoss, Washington County, MD., she was the daughter of the late Grover and Ida (Hollinger) Neikirk.
She retired after 25 years of service with the Greencastle-Antrim School District having worked in the cafeteria of the former Shady Grove Elementary School.
Pearl was a member of the Calvary Bible Church of Greencastle where she was active on the kitchen committee. She had taught Sunday School in her younger years.
Her husband Samuel E. Roth died on January 5, 1992.
She was the last of her immediate family and is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday morning January 21 at 10:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor Richard Overcash officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one half hour before the service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Calvary Bible Church 3845 Buchanan Trail West Greencastle, Pa. 17225 or to the Alzheimer''s Association 3544 North Progress Ave. Suite 205 Harrisburg, Pa. 17110.
