Paul D. Miller, age 87 of 3247 Lincoln Way East Fayetteville, Pa. died at 11:30 A.M. Monday November 3, 2008 in the Falling Spring Nursing And Rehabilitation Center Chambersburg, where he had been a resident since January 16, 2008.

Born February 4, 1921 in Greencastle Pa., he was the son of the late Melchor Snively Jr. and Mary R. (Mayhugh) Miller.

He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot Chambersburg where he worked as a railroad inspector. He also had worked for the Borough of Greencastle and farmed in his earlier years.

Mr. Miller was a life member of the Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post #373 of Greencastle and a life member of the Mercersburg Sportsman Association. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

His first wife, Stella (Skiles) Miller died on October 12, 1984. He enjoyed hunting fishing, gardening and working in his yard.

Surviving family are:

Wife, Janet I. (Foreman) Miller who he married on January 9, 1981 in Winchester, Va.

Five sons, Paul D. Miller Jr., Richard D. Miller, Gregory L. Miller, Wallace S. Miller and Donald C. Miller, all of Greencastle. one sister, Betty M. Danzberger, of Chambersburg, eighteen Grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, two great-great grandsons and numerous Nieces And Nephews

He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Miller, daughter Patricia P. Detamore, brothers George Miller, Donald Miller, Richard Miller, Melchor "Meck" Miller and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 6 at 2:00 P.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Harold Yeager officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Fourth Street Church Of The Brethren 260 South Fourth St. Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
