Paul D. Keckler, age 88 of Clay Hill Rd. Waynesboro, PA died at 8:52 A.M. Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at his home.
Born August 23, 1924 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Merle D. and Margaret (Davis) Keckler.
Paul and his wife Mary A. (Bonebrake) Keckler were married in 1946. She died in April 1986.
He retired in 1986 from Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove. Paul was a member of the Five Forks Brethren In Christ Church of Waynesboro. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II having served in the European Theatre.
Surviving family are one daughter Deborah A. Stinson, Waynesboro, one son, P. Dana Keckler and wife Judy, Greencastle, one sister, Nancy (Mrs. Wayne) Bartles, Hagerstown, MD, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday November 5 at 10:00 A.M. from the Five Forks Brethren In Christ Church Chapel 9244 Five Forks Rd. Waynesboro with Pastor Ray Kipe officiating. Burial will be in the Browns Mill Cemetery Kauffman. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Five Forks Brethren In Christ Church 9244 Five Forks Rd.
