Paul Herman Ebersole, age 90 a resident of the Mennonite Fellowship Home of 12349 Huyett Lane Hagerstown, Md. and formerly of Millmont, Pa. died at 9:18 P.M. Sunday March 1, 2009 in the home.
Born November 29, 1918 in Annville, Pa., he was the son of the late Ammon and Amanda (Horst) Ebersole.
He was a carpenter by trade having worked last at Penns Creek Furniture in Lewisburg.
Paul served as a minister and evangelist in the Mennonite Church from 1954 - 2008. He served the church from 1972 -1978 in British Columbia.
Paul also was assistant principal and teacher at Numidia Bible School in Numidia,Pa. He was a member of the Hartleton Mennonite Church in Millmont, Pa.
He and his wife, Luella H. (Risser) Ebersole, a resident of the Mennonite Fellowship Home, were married July 31, 1941.
Surviving family in addition to his wife are one son, J. Mark (Husband of June) Ebersole, Myerstown, Pa., two sisters, Ruth Boll, Lancaster, Pa. and Cora Gerber, Dalton, Ohio, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers Elmer Ebersole, Ammon Ebersole, Aaron Ebersole, Norman Ebersole, two sisters, Katherine Mohler and Martha Walters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 7 at 10:00 A.M. from the Hartleton Mennonite Church in Millmont, Pa. with the local ministry officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends locally on Thursday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. at the Hagerstown Mennonite Fellowship Church 12403 Huyett Lane Hagerstown and Friday at the Hartleton Mennonite Church from 2- 4 P.M. and 6 - 8 P.M. and one hour before the service on Saturday. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle, Pa.
