Paul H. Berger, age 78 of 3513 Leitersburg Rd. Waynesboro, Pa. died unexpectedly Thursday morning June 7, 2007 in his home.

Born March 22, 1929 in Antrim Twp. Franklin County Pa., he was the son of the late Denton and Edith (Oberholzer) Berger.
In his earlier years he worked at the former Fulton Gsell Excavating of Waynesboro and then for 34 years he worked for Lee R. Hamner Excavating of Waynesboro. He last was employed for 10 years at Callas Construction Co. of Hagerstown.

Mr. Berger attended Hollowell Brethren In Christ Church near Waynesboro. He enjoyed walking, gardening, hunting and being with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He and his wife, Gail L. (Overcash) Berger were married August 5, 1950 in Hagerstown.

Surviving family in addition to his wife are:

Two daughters, Sandra K. Harmon of Willingboro, N.J. and Sharon A. McCartney of Chambersburg, Pa.

Two sons, Dennis R. Berger and David M. Berger, both of Waynesboro, Pa.

Three Sisters, Anna Rock of Chambersburg, Pa, Edith Miller and Beulah Harshman, both of Greencastle, Pa.

Twelve grandchildren and Three great-grandchildren

Numerous Nephews and Nieces

He was preceded in death by: four brothers, William Berger, Ralph Berger, Tab Berger, Roy Berger and four sisters, Edith Bingaman, Alice Grosh, Helen Gsell and Frances Kell.

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 11 at 10:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, Pa. with Pastor Blaine Lougheed officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery Waynesboro. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 - 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
