Paul H. Beam, age 52 of Marvern Drive West Chambersburg, PA died unexpectedly Saturday evening September 20, 2014 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born January 8, 1962 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late David S. Jr. and Elizabeth A. (Mull) Beam. He married Lynda E. (Killian) Beam on July 15, 1984.
He was formerly employed for 14 years at Grove Worldwide Shady Grove, at Hicks Chevrolet of Greencastle for 11 years and was currently employed with Bowhead Support Group at Letterkenny Army Depot Chambersburg.
Paul graduated in 1980 from the Waynesboro Area Senior High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Paul was an avid NASCAR fan especially Dale Earnhardt Jr., an avid hunter, and he enjoyed gardening and planting flowers and riding his Harley Davison motorcycle.
Paul was a great father and grandfather and loved spending lots of time with his son and grandson.
Surviving family in addition to his wife are one son Michael Paul Beam of Chambersburg, one grandson, Braiden Paul Beam of Chambersburg, two step-children, Kevin Christopher Snow of Norfolk, VA, Jennifer Michelle Dreyer of Baltimore, MD, one sister, Donna Rae Yeager of Fayetteville, PA, three brothers, Lloyd R. Beam of Greencastle, Blaine A. Beam Sr. of Greencastle, Randy L. Beam Sr. of Waynesboro, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Dixie Lee Beam and a brother David S. “Tobey” Beam III.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning September 25 at 11:00 AM from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor Kenny Craig officiating. Burial will be in the Fetterhoff Chapel Cemetery Chambersburg. There will be no public viewing but the family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Thursday.
