Patrick A. Carr , age 51 of Chambersburg, PA, passed from this life into the arms of His Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 2, 2016 after a valiant fight with brain cancer.
He was born October 25, 1964 in Fort Lee, Virginia. Patrick was a devoted husband, father, brother, son, uncle and follower of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his devoted wife of twelve years Holly and his three beautiful children—Makayla (10), Brianna (8), and Lucas (7). He is also survived by his father George, sisters Penny, Pam, and Paula, and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Patrick retired from the U.S. Army after proudly serving for 20 years and then worked as an IT project manager on several government contracts.
Patrick got saved when he was young and his faith has been inspirational to many. He loved serving in the children’s nursery, and continued serving even after his diagnosis.
A celebration of life service will be held at Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home in Greencastle, PA at 2:00 p.m. on Friday April 8th, 2016. A graveside service will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. Pastor Steven McCullough of The Good Shepherd Ministries in Hagerstown, MD, will be officiating.
