Patricia M. Mowen

Patricia M. "Pat" (Carbaugh) Mowen age 66 of 13336 Worleytown Rd. Greencastle, Pa. died at 10:21 A.M. Monday, October 11, 2010 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born January 10, 1944 in Peters Twp. Franklin County, PA., she was the daughter of the late Brady and Helen (Clever) Carbaugh.

She and her husband, LeRoy Frank Mowen Sr. were married September 23, 1961 in Hagerstown. He died on November 14, 2009.

She was a homemaker and had worked at the former Stanely Co., Rocky Ridge Market and Chief''s Kitchen.
Pat was a member of the Macedonia United Brethren Church of Greencastle. She enjoyed gardening, singing, writing songs and she had sung on several local radio stations.


Surviving family are two sons LeRoy Frank Mowen Jr. of Mercersburg, Daniel W. Mowen, Greencastle, a daughter, Heide Buchanan, Greencastle, two grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, four brothers Brady Carbaugh Jr. and Dennis Carbaugh both of Greencastle, Tom Carbaugh, Georgia, Amos Carbaugh, Mercersburg and a sister Carolyn Shatzer, Chambersburg.

She was preceded in death by a sister Faye Sprenkle and a brother Richard Carbaugh.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 15 at 11:00 A.M. from the Macedonia United Brethren Church 11887 Worleytown Rd. Greencastle with Pastor Gayle Ruble Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle on Thursday from 6 - 8 P.M. and at the church one hour before the service on Friday.
