Owen E. "Red" Wilson, age 94 a resident of Magnolias of Chambersburg and formerly of Colorado St. Marion died at 11:35 P.M. Tuesday June 11, 2013 in the assisted living facility.
Born April 17, 1919 in Old Forge, Maryland, he was the son of the late Harry Christman Sr. and Carrie Catherine (Stickel) Wilson.

Owen was married to Mary Jane (Small) Wilson on December 31, 1950. She died on May 21, 2001.
He was employed for Potomac Edison and West Penn Power Company for 33 years having retired in 1982. Following his retirement, he worked 8 years for Allegheny Power as a construction inspector.
Owen was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church of Chambersburg where he was a member and past president of the James Hoover Bible Class and former administrative board member. Owen was a charter and life member of the Marion Volunteer Fire Co. where he was past president of the fire company and in 1987 received the Company 8 award. He also volunteered with the Marion Fire Co. Fire Police

He was a member and past master of the Mount Pisgah Lodge No. 443 F & AM of Greencastle, member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, 32nd Degree of Harrisburg, member of the Zembo Temple of Harrisburg and charter and life member of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319 of Greencastle. Owen was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific.
He attended the former Browns Mill School in Kauffman. He was the last of his immediate family.

Surviving family are a number of grandnieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 17 at 1:00 P.M. from the St. Paul United Methodist Church 750 Norland Ave. Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Rick Noll and Rev. Harold Posey officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the Chambersburg V.F.W. Post #1599 Honor Guard will be in the Norland Cemetery Chambersburg. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and one hour before the service at the church on Monday. The Mount Pisgah Masonic Lodge will hold a masonic service at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the St. Paul United Methodist Church 750 Norland Ave. Chambersburg, PA 17201.
