Oliver H. Martin

Oliver H. Martin, age 80, of 13638 Ivy Way, Hagerstown, MD., died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 in Hagerstown, MD.

Born August 19, 1927 in Maugansville, MD., he was the son of the late Aaron H. and Ethel L. (Horst) Martin.

Prior to his retirement he was co-owner of Martin Truck Corporation in Hagerstown, MD.

He was a member of Reiff Mennonite Church near Cearfoss, MD.

He is survived by his wife, Ada R. (Hostetter) Martin whom he married November 24, 1948; three daughters, Helen Martin of Hagerstown, MD., Leona Horst of Waynesboro, PA., and Etta G. Martin at home; two sons, Conrad H. Martin and Curtis A. Martin both of Hagerstown, MD.; one sister, Corinne Martin of Worthington, IND.; three brothers, Carl H. Martin of Greencastle, PA., Ammon H. Martin and Caleb H. Martin both Hagerstown, MD.; 16 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, July 18, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. from the Reiff Mennonite Church, near Cearfoss, MD. with the Reiff Mennonite Church ministry officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA. and one hour before the service on Friday at the church. The family requests the omission of flowers.
