Norman F. Kennedy, 93, of Greencastle, PA, entered his eternal home with Jesus on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Providence Place of Chambersburg. Born December 8, 1931, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Ralph F. and Anna Mary Hykes Kennedy.

Norman worked most of his life as a dairy farmer. Even later in life he enjoyed working at the farm, raising heifers and guinea pigs. He enjoyed gardening and was a believer in natural and holistic remedies. Norman was a member of Antrim Brethren In Christ Church and the Franklin County Farmers Association. An artistically inclined person, Norman enjoyed painting. He also enjoyed reading and essentially keeping busy.

He is survived by five children, Benjamin Kennedy (Jeanne) of Greencastle, Gwen Kennedy Adams (Jeff) of Waynesboro, Mildred Shoemaker (Larry) of Chambersburg, Lorin Kennedy of Greencastle, and Norma Lesher (Gabriel) of Greencastle; 13 grandchildren, Erin Enz, Melissa Chitwood, James Kennedy, Elaine Jacobs, Julie Perry, Eric Johns, April Hennessey, Shaunn Hill, Raven Dunlap, Rachel Shoemaker, Casey Glunt, Sherry Fales, and Angel Boswell; 20 great grandchildren; and three siblings, Charles Ray Kennedy of Erie, Jerome Kennedy of Ft. Loudon; and Philip Kennedy (Anna) of Lemasters. Aside from his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Grace Myers Kennedy; his second wife, Genevieve Fortney Kennedy; his son Vernon Kennedy; five brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Antrim Brethren In Christ Church, 24 Kauffman Rd E, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Casey Horst will officiate. Interment will follow in Montgomery Brethren In Christ Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Antrim Brethren In Christ Church at the above address, and one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brethren In Christ World Missions at Brethren in Christ U.S., 431 Grantham Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
