Norma Y. (Rock) Gsell, age 54 of 146 E. Franklin St., Greencastle, PA., died at 5:31 P.M. on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at her home following an extended illness.

Born, October 19, 1953 in Chambersburg, PA., she was the daughter of the late Edward A. Rock, Sr. and Madeline V. (Johns) Rock.

She was a homemaker and previously worked for the former Corning Glass of Greencastle, PA., the Boys & Girls Club of Hagerstown, MD., Wal Mart of Chambersburg, PA. and Goodwill Industries of Greencastle, PA. She was a 1971 graduate of the Chambersburg High School.

Mrs. Gsell was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Greencastle, PA. She was a Life Member of the Greencastle Rescue Hose Co. #1, a member the Franklin/Fulton County Volunteer Firemen''s Association and a member of the Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firemen''s Association. She was one of the original organizers of the Greencastle AYSO.

She and her husband, Harry J. Gsell, Jr. were married on October 21, 1972 in Mercersburg, PA.

Surviving family in addition to her husband are, Two Sons, H. Jacob (Husband of Nicole) Gsell III of Greencastle, PA. and Brian E. (Husband of Amanda) Gsell of Chambersburg, PA. One Grandson, Riley Jacob Gsell of Greencastle, PA. Two Sisters, Nancy Worthing of Waterfall, PA. and Barbara J. Garland of Chambersburg, PA. Three Brothers, Joseph C. Rock of Fayetteville, PA., Regis E. Rock and Stephen D. Rock both of Chambersburg, PA. Godchildren, Krista & Justin Rudisill of Gettysburg, PA. and Numerous Nieces & Nephews.

She was preceded in death by a Sister Carolyn Caldwell and a Brother Edward A. Rock, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 15, 2008 from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA. with Rev. William DeHass officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, PA. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 1186 Jason Dr., Greencastle, PA. 17225.
