Norma P. Mummart

Norma P. (Etter) Mummart, age 90, a resident of the Falling Spring Nursing And Rehabilitation Center of Chambersburg and formerly of Sanibel Lane Chambersburg and Bino Rd. Greencastle, died Tuesday morning October 25, 2016 in the nursing center.

Born November 19, 1925 in Montgomery Twp., Franklin County, PA, she was the daughter of the late George L. and Gail D. (Gift) Etter. She married Oren L. Mummart on April 4, 1947 in Hagerstown.  He died on August 26, 2000.

Norma worked for over 30 years at the former Stanley Co. of Chambersburg. She was a member of the Macedonia United Brethren Church of Greencastle and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was a 1944 graduate of Greencastle High School.

Surviving family are one son Jeffrey L. Mummart and wife Marilyn of Chambersburg, two granddaughters, Heather R. Walck and Cassy L. Lawson, both of Chambersburg and one sister Klee Young of Mercersburg. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held on Friday October 28 at 11:00 AM at the Macedonia United Brethren Church Cemetery near Greencastle with Pastor Milton Herrold Jr. officiating. There will be no public viewing. The family requests the omission of flowers with memorial contributions to be given to the Macedonia United Brethren Church 11887 Worleytown Rd.
