Nancy Jane (Souders) Meyers
Nancy Jane (Souders) Meyers, age 60 of 3975 Williamson Rd. Greencastle, PA died at 4:30 A.M. Thursday, March 22, 2012 in her home following an extended illness.
Born December 6, 1951 in McConnellsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Grace (Harr) Souders.
Nancy was employed at Volvo Group (Mack Truck) Hagerstown and had formerly worked at Anvil Products Greencastle and James River Corp. of Chambersburg.
She was a member of the Montgomery Brethren In Christ Church near Mercersburg and a member of the UAW Local # 171 of Hagerstown.
Nancy was a 1969 graduate of James Buchanan High School Mercersburg. She enjoyed reading and collecting cook books.
She and her husband Dean E. Meyers were married September 30, 1972 in Greencastle.
Surviving family in addition to her husband are two daughters Crystal D. Meyers, Greencastle, Jodi L. Kelly, Chambersburg, one son Shawn E. Meyers, Greencastle, one grandson Colton Kelly, Chambersburg, three brothers, Albert Souders, Greencastle, Denny Souders and Daniel Souders, both of McConnellsburg,five sisters, Shirley Finniff and Glenda Shirey, both of Greencastle, Sandra Means, Brookville, PA, Daisy Hoover and Donna L. Rohm, both of McConnellsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Robert Souders.
Funeral services will be held on Monday March 26 at 11:00 A.M. from the Montgomery Brethren In Christ Church 6727 Montgomery Church Rd. Mercersburg with Pastor Dennis Ritchey officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Building Fund of Montgomery Brethren In Christ Church 6727 Montgomery Church Rd. Mercersburg, PA 17236 or to Lutheran Home Care and Hospice 2700 Luther Dr. Chambersburg, PA 17202. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle.
