Nancy L. Copenhaver

Nancy L. Copenhaver, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center due to complications from a fall. She was born on June 21, 1935 in State Line, PA  and was the daughter of the late George C. Koons and Rayetta P. Koons.

Nancy graduated from Greencastle Antrim High School in 1954.  She spent most of her career at The First National Bank of Greencastle. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Greencastle. Nancy loved to garden, cook, and spend time with her family.  She also enjoyed sitting and watching the birds with her husband.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph C. Copenhaver, and her siblings, Harry Koons, Margaret Brewbaker, Donald Koons, Annabelle Mummert and Ruth Crunkleton.

She is survived by one daughter, Kelly Copenhaver Lanahan, and her husband Rob of Towson, MD, one son, Kevin Copenhaver and his wife Lisa of Greencastle, and three grandchildren, Matthew Copenhaver, Emily Copenhaver, and Bryce Lanahan, and her brother, Melvin Koons.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 5, at 12:30 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle Street, Greencastle with Pastor Bob Marsh officiating. Burial will be at the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle immediately following the service. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Thursday, April 5, from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
