N. Lucille Shindledecker, age 91 of Hades Church Rd. Shady Grove, PA died at her home on Saturday afternoon April 4, 2015.

Born June 18, 1923 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arvella Faye (Starliper) Sites and the step-daughter of the late Wilbur Sites.
In her younger years she worked for the Frick Co. and Waynesboro Knitting Mill and last worked at the Waynesboro Hospital. She graduated in 1941 from the Waynesboro High School.

Lucille attended the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro and was a member of the Ruth   Anna Bible Class. She was an avid bowler, loved traveling, and enjoyed good food and being with her family.
Her first husband Carl Lesher died in 1959 and her second husband Robert Shindledecker died in 1981.
Surviving family are three daughters Anita L. Engle and husband Ronald of Shady Grove, Eunice F. Knott and husband Gary of Waynesboro, Jane E. Lesher of Shady Grove, one son Gary R. Lesher and wife Erma of Chambersburg, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one sister Beatrice M. Stitely of Waynesboro.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle with Rev. Richard Randall officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery Waynesboro. There will be no public viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to National Autism Association 1 Park Ave. Suite 1 Portsmouth, RI 02871 or to the Humane Society of one’s choice.
