Miriam Virginia Bingaman Poole
Mrs. Miriam Virginia Bingaman Poole, 81, of Greencastle, died Friday morning, September 7, 2012, at Providence Place, Chambersburg. She was the wife of the late Robert Anthony Poole, who preceded her in death in 1993.
Born December 20, 1930, in Welsh Run, she was one of thirteen children of the late George Andrew and Mary Grace Rice Bingaman.
She owned and operated Poole''s Beauty Salon in Greencastle, until passing the business to her daughter in 1977.
Mrs. Poole was a member of Cedar Grove Mennonite Church, Greencastle. She enjoyed playing games, especially Dominoes.
Surviving are her children Robert L. Poole and wife Ruth of Greencastle, and Beverly K. Poole Coyle and husband William of Cascade; grandchildren, Billy Coyle and wife Rachel of Blue Ridge Summit, Robert Poole of Greencastle, Brittany Sprecher and husband Jeff of Waynesboro, Bailey Poole of Greencastle, and Bethany Coyle of Cascade, great-grandson, Ryder Coyle,
and by her siblings Thelma G. Starliper, Mercersburg, PA, Elizabeth M Sharon, Chambersburg, PA, George R. Bingaman, Chambersburg, PA, Doris E. Barnhart, Chambersburg, PA, Raymond E. Bingaman, Delra, WV, Janet L. Helman, Chambersburg, PA, Leonard E. Bingaman, Hustontown, PA, Maxine C. Walker, Chambersburg, PA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Cora I Mills, Paul E Bingaman, Charles V. Bingaman and Helen L. Myers.
The Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, is handling the arrangements. There will not be visiting at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at her church, Cedar Grove Mennonite Church, 13343 Williamsport Pike, Greencastle, on Wednesday, September 12, from 9:30 AM until the time of the church service at 10:30 AM. The Rev. Stephen P. Fretz will officiate. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
