Mildred E. (Meyers) Miller
Mildred E. (Meyers) Miller, age 93, of Williamson, PA died on Monday June 11, 2018 at the Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, PA.
Born February 11, 1925 in Peters Township, Franklin County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer C. and Zelda Friese Meyers. She was reared from birth by her aunt and uncle, Mr. And Mrs. Jacob Kuhn and their daughter Mary, of Williamson, PA. She married her husband, George S. Miller on September 14, 1946. He passed on June 27, 2003.
Mildred was a 1943 graduate of the St. Thomas High School. She retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg. She was a member of the King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg and the New Life Sunday School Class. She was also a former member of the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Williamson, where she was an organist for many years. Mildred enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, crocheting, playing cards, playing the piano and most of all being with her family.
Surviving family are her two sons, Kerry A. Miller (Jill) of Fayetteville, PA, Larry L. Miller (Kathy) of Taneytown, MD; one daughter, Marla Miller Danesh (Azim) of Boiling Springs, PA; five grandchildren, Victoria Musso (Vince) of Parkland, FL, KerriLynn Sobin (Jake) of Arlington, VA, Alexandra Miller, Ridgewood, NY, George Chase Miller, Taneytown, MD and Cameron Danesh of Boiling Springs, PA; two great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Tyler Musso of Parkland, FL; three step great-grandchildren, Eena Dietterick of Camp Hill, PA and Kenzi and Miles Kapp of Carlisle, PA.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Bryce, four sisters, E. Gertrude, G. Pauline, Leoda, Vera and a step-grandchild, Michael Kapp.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 16 at 12 Noon at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, PA with Pastors Ron Cook and Paul Baker officiating. Burial will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 – 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the King Street United Brethren Church Organ Fund or Flower Fund, 56 N. Second St. Chambersburg, PA 17201.
