Mildred Louise Glaser Fuss, age 89 of Geyer Dr. Chambersburg and formerly of Greencastle died at 8:57 A.M. Thursday June 9, 2011 in ManorCare Health Services Chambersburg.
Born October 16, 1921 in Maugansville, MD., she was the daughter of the late William Milton and Amy Catherine (Horst) Hartman.
She had worked at the former Baer Brothers Packing Co. Mildred attended the King Street United Brethren Church Chambersburg and while in Greencastle attended the First United Methodist Church.
Mildred was a member of the Franklin County DAR, Greencastle V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the AARP. She was a 1939 graduate of Greencastle High School.
Her first husband, Guy G. Glaser died in 1967 and her second husband Lambert W. Fuss died in 2001.
Surviving family are one son Rev. Dr. William K. (Wife JoAnn) Glaser, Parker Colorado, two daughters, Judy A. Sellers, Chambersburg, Amy M. Semmel (Husband William) West Lawn, PA., seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three step-grandsons and three step great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by one step-son Larry Fuss, one brother Wayne "Hucks" Hartman and one sister Doris Marie Orr.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be given in her memory to the King Street United Brethren Church 162 East King Street Chambersburg, PA. 17201 or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 960 Penn Ave. Suite 1000 Pittsburgh, PA. 15222.
