Mary E. (Hoffman) Wincer, age 94 of 4749 Molly Pitcher Hwy. South Chambersburg died at 5:30 P.M. Friday March 12, 2010 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born June 10, 1915 in Ringgold, MD., she was the daughter of the late John and Pearl (Rice) Hoffman.
Mary was the wife of Wilber D. Wincer who died March 9, 1990.
During her early adult life she assisted her husband in farming and retired from the fprmer Stanley Company of Chambersburg in 1977. Mary was a member of the Ebenezer (Guitners) United Brethren Church near Greencastle. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, quilting, crocheting, making scrubbies and sewing.
Surviving family are one daughter Pearl (Wife of Richard) Kendall, Chambersburg, three grandsons, Ernest (Husband of Kimberly) Farrow, Harold (Husband of Lisa) Kendall, James (Husband of Joanne Williams) Kendall, all of Chambersburg, two granddaughters Mary (Wife of Joel) Peterson, Greencastle, Sarah (Wife of Thomas) Younker, Chambersburg, nine great-grandchildren,
one step great-grandson and one step great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Rebecca Farrow, two brothers Leonard Hoffman and David Hoffman and a sister Martha Koser.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 16 at 2:30 P.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Richard Mose officiating. Burial will be in the Norland Cemetery Chambersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Tuesday.
