Mary Amanda (Treher) Tabler, age 97 of 3837 Harold Place Greencastle, Pa. died at 9:20 P.M. Wednesday May 7, 2008 in her home. She had been in failing health the last three months.
Born March 8, 1911 in Fayetteville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Albert M. and Margaret W. (Slaybaugh) Treher.
She had worked for 29 years at the former Quincy Orphanage and Home having retired in 1975. She also had worked for the Washington Twp. Supervisors and and she last worked at the Greencastle-Antrim Administration Offices under the "Green Thumb" program.
Mrs. Tabler was a member of the Grace Bible Church of Greencastle and had taught Sunday School for 50 years at Fayetteville & Quincy. She was a 1928 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
Mary attended the Greencastle Senior Citizen Center.
Her husband, Corban H. Tabler Sr. died in 1985.

Two daughters, Margaret V. (Wife Of Pete) Peters, Petersburg Va., Jeanette G. (Wife Of Richard) Horst, Greencastle, Pa.
One son, Corban H. (Husband Of Sue) Tabler Jr., Greenville, S.C.

Several Nieces and Nephews
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy D. Treher, A. Fred Treher, T. Richard Treher and C. William Treher; two sisters Gertrude Shoop and Hester Treher; one grandson and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 10 at 10:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastors J. Herman Fisler and Greg Kell officiating. Burial will be in the Quincy Cemetery, Quincy, Pa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 - 8 P.M.
