Mary C. Parmer, age 96, a resident of Morning Glory Retirement Home, State Line, PA., and formerly of Hollowell Church Rd., Waynesboro, PA. died at 2:30 A.M., Saturday, July 28, 2007 in the home.
Born July 9, 1911 in Greencastle, PA., she was the daughter of the late Daniel H. and Minnie (Bowman) Bowders.
She and her husband, Charles S. Parmer, Sr. were married February 23, 1929. He died on December 15, 2005.
Mrs. Parmer was a homemaker.
Surviving family are:
One Son, Charles S. Parmer, Jr. of Waynesboro, PA.
One Grandson, Douglas Parmer of Baltimore, Md.
Two Sisters, Anna M. Mayhugh Miller of Waynesboro, PA. and Margaret Gelwicks of York, PA.
Several Nieces and Nephews
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Julia Bowders and Corrine Stoner; and four brothers, Merle, Robert, Melvin and Ralph Bowders.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA. with Minister Shelley Graybill officiating. Burial will be in the Beautiful View Cemetery, near State Line.
