Mary C. (Fisher) Myers, age 90 a resident of Quincy Retirement Home and formerly of Greencastle died at 7:50 P.M. on Thursday, March 11, 2010 in the nursing home.
Born July 12, 1919 in Antrim Twp., PA she was the daughter of the late Harold Baker and Nellie Katherine (Mayhugh) Fisher.
Mrs. Myers retired from the Greencastle Antrim School District where she worked in the cafeteria. She was a Chambersburg High School graduate. Mrs. Myers was a member of the Grace Brethren Church in Hagerstown, MD where she helped with the nursery.
She and her husband, John L. Myers were married in August 1940 in Hagerstown, MD. He died on March 26, 1999.
Surviving family are Daughter, Lois M. (Wife of Crawford) Wishard of Mercersburg, PA; Son, Glenn E. (Husband of Peggy) Myers of Chambersburg, PA; Six Grandchildren; Eleven Great-Grandchildren and Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Arthur Fisher.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 10 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle with Pastor Harald Bjerga officiating. Burial will be in the Browns Mill Cemetery, Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
