Mary K. Lehman, age 86 of South Carlisle St. Greencastle, PA died at 5:13 PM Thursday, August 15, 2013 in her home. She had been critically ill for the last two weeks.
Born June 14, 1927 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert W. and Pauline V. (Tosten) Kauffman.
She married Charles E. "Chuck" Lehman on December 27, 1945. He died on April 18, 1993.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Greencastle Church of The Brethren. She was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class and she and her husband served as church custodians for many years.
Surviving family are two daughters Cheryl Forrest of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, Judy Shatzer of Chambersburg, PA, three sons, C. Doug Lehman and fiancee Wilma Keefer of Mercersburg, PA, Darrell E. Lehman and wife Selena of Chambersburg, PA, Carl E. Lehman and fiancee Christine Nelson of Martinsburg WV, one sister Francis Fleagle of Waynesboro, PA, one niece Laurrette Ruck of Hagerstown, MD, one nephew Patrick Fleagle, of Waynesboro, PA, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law Donald T. Forrest Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Monday August 19 at 11:00 AM from the Greencastle Church of The Brethren 36 South Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Leon Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the Burns Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro, PA. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her name to the Lutheran Home Care and Hospice 2700 Luther Dr. Chambersburg, PA 17202.
