Mary K. Lawson

Mary K. Lawson 78, of Highland Park New Jersey, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. Born July 28, 1943, in Greencastle, PA, she was the daughter of late Edgar “Sam” and Gertrude Arlean Shatzer Pentz.

Mrs. Lawson graduated from Greencastle-Antrim High School in 1963. Mary was a domestic engineer for many years. She enjoyed collecting Boyds Bears and going to yard sales.

Mary is survived by one son, Charles “Chopper” Lawson; siblings, Joseph Pentz (Ruby), Susie Dodson, Jane Kesselring (Jerry), Joyce Hykes; and her fiancé, Melvin Gelsinger. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Robert Lawson Sr., in 2013; a son, Robert “Tiger” Lawson at the age of 39; her brothers, James Pentz, Bobby Pentz, and one sister, Donna Kerlin; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces,  and nephews.

It was at her request not to have a public viewing. Burial will be private at the request of the family.
