Mary Catherine "Cay" Henson

Mary Catherine "Cay" Henson, age 56 of 473 Wayne Ave. Chambersburg, Pa. passed away at 8:21 AM on Thursday, August 26, 2010 in the John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. She had recently been in failing health.

Born, January 23, 1954 in Waynesboro, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. Henson Sr. and Mabel C. (Barnes) Henson. She had worked in local restaurants and also at Faraday Co. in Chantilly, Va.

She was a 1972 graduate of the Greencastle-Antrim High School. Cay enjoyed sports, especially golf, bowling and baseball. She was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan and bowled in a local bowling league.

Surviving family are three brothers, Joseph E. Henson Jr. of Chambersburg, Ted A. Henson of Gilbertsville, PA, John A. Henson of Greencastle, her friend and companion, Sheila Winters of Chambersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 12 Noon from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle with Pastor Adam Leeper officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 A.M. to 12 Noon on Wednesday.
