Mary K. (Biser) Crouse

Mary K.  (Biser) Crouse, age 88 of Greencastle, PA died at 8:47 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in Menno Haven of Chambersburg, PA, where she had resided briefly.
Born September 21, 1925 near Ringgold, MD, she was the daughter of the late Clifford H. and Vergie E. (Leatherman) Biser.  Mary was a 1944 graduate of Smithsburg High School and attended the Waynesboro Business School.  She was employed as a secretary by Fairchild Aircraft Division in Hagerstown for 11 years. She married Harry W. Crouse on June 25, 1949 and she had lived at her current residence since 1956. Mr. Crouse died on January 16, 1997.
Mary was a member of the Trinity United Church Of Christ of Waynesboro.  She was a former member and Past Matron of Mount Vernon Chapter No. 398, Order of Eastern Star, Waynesboro and life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319 of Greencastle.
Surviving family are one daughter Pamela E.  Hass of New Jersey, one son Brian H. Crouse of Greencastle, PA, one granddaughter Zoe Hass and a number of nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers Merle Biser and Paul Biser and one sister Naomi Scott.
Funeral services will be held on Friday April 11 at 11:00 AM from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Susan D’heedene officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the American Heart Association 417A Phoenix Dr. Chambersburg, PA  17201.  The Mount Vernon Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star will hold a memorial service on Friday at 11:00 AM.  at the funeral home.
