Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Chamberlin

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" (Gift) Chamberlin, age 85 of 9518 Antrim Church Rd. Greencastle died at 7:30 A.M. Wednesday May 27, 2009 in the home of her son David of 9530 Antrim Church Rd. Greencastle following a lengthy illness.

Born June 30, 1923 in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Jessie (Yates) Gift.

She was a homemaker and in her earlier years she was a telephone exchange operator. She was a 1941 graduate of the Greencastle High School.

She and her husband, Glenn E. Chamberlin were married October 14, 1951 in Hagerstown, Md. He died on August 11, 2003.

She loved animals especially her cats and enjoyed being with her family.

Surviving family are one son, David W. (Wife Karen) Chamberlin, Greencastle, Two grandsons, Jason Chamberlin and Joshua Chamberlin, both of Greencastle and 1 great-granddaughter, Casey Jo Chamberlin.

A graveside service will be held on Friday afternoon May 29 at 2:00 P.M. from the Maplewood Cemetery in Marion, Pa. with Pastor officiating. There will be no public viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Lutheran Home Care And Hospice 2700 Luther Dr. Chambersburg, Pa. 17202. Arrangements were by the Harold M.
