Mary Grace (Clark) Brindle, age 86, of Worleytown Rd. Greencastle, PA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 1:25 PM in her home.
Born August 1, 1931 in Mercersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Keadle) Clark. She married her husband Marvin L. Brindle on July 2, 1950 in Hagerstown. He died on January 24, 2012.
Grace retired after 30 years employment at Corning Glass (now World Kitchen) in Greencastle.
She was a member of the Macedonia United Brethren Church of Greencastle, where she also was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Grace was a 1950 graduate of the former Mercersburg High School. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting and macrame.
Surviving family are, two daughters, Kathy J. Hartle and husband Barry of Greencastle, Penny Carbaugh and husband William of Greencastle, one son, Richard J. Brindle and wife Beverley of Greencastle, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one sister Cora Bonebrake of Mercersburg and one brother Ray Eugene Clark of Mercersburg.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Carl Clark and Clinton “Jim” Clark.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 30 at 11:00 AM at the Macedonia United Brethren Church, 11887 Worleytown Rd., Greencastle with Pastors Milton Herrold Jr. and Gayle Ruble Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 600-8:00 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle and one hour before the service on Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Macedonia United Brethren Church, 11887 Worleytown Rd., Greencastle, PA 17225.
