Martha L. (Bricker) Meyers

Martha L. Meyers, age 93, of Greencastle, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Menno Haven’s Brookview Personal Care Home. Born June 9, 1930, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Ruth Peckman Bricker.

Mrs. Meyers worked alongside her husband on the family farm. They also had an upholstery business. She was a member of Montgomery Brethren in Christ Church, Gideon’s International along with her late husband and the sewing circle at Montgomery Brethren in Christ Church. Passionate about helping others, Mrs. Meyers supported various projects, in the past several years sewing blankets, she had set a goal of making 100 blankets per year. She and her husband also served with the Paxton Street Ministries in Harrisburg, PA and for over 37 years they served in the kitchen at the Roxbury Holiness Camp.

Surviving are four children, Brenda L. Davidson (husband Robert) of Newville, PA, Lucinda “Cindy” J. Oberholzer (husband Nelson) of Greencastle, PA, Micah M. Meyers (wife Deborah) of Greencastle, PA, and Marsha A. Myers (husband Darrin) of Chambersburg, PA; daughter in law, Gina L. Meyers Miller (husband Charles) of Greencastle, PA; 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; and four siblings, Rhoda Keller, Ruth Osbaugh, John Bricker (wife Joyce), and Verda Bricker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin C. Meyers, who passed away on April 3, 2013; a son, Stanley C. Meyers, who passed away on January 11, 2002; six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 11 AM at Montgomery Brethren in Christ Church, 6727 Montgomery Church Rd., Mercersburg, PA 17236, where Pastor Japheth Nell and Rev. Raymond Martin will officiate. The family will receive friends at the above church on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 5 – 8 PM and Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 10 – 11 AM. Interment will follow the service in the adjacent church cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son, Inc., Greencastle, PA. In keeping with Mrs. Meyers’ philanthropic philosophy, the family suggests memorial contributions in her name to the Mission of your choice.
