Martha Lucille "Toby" Beckner

Martha Lucille "Toby" Beckner, age 92 of Addison Ave., Greencastle, PA died at 2:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born November 4, 1917 in Waynesboro, PA she was the daughter of the late Cletus and Lutie (Zimmerman) Snodderly.

She and her husband, Otto F. Beckner were married for over 70 years.

Mrs. Beckner was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greencastle. She enjoyed playing cards with her card group. In her earlier years she was a den mother for the Cub Scouts. She graduated from the Waynesboro High School.

Surviving family in addition to her husband are one son, Gordon L. Beckner of Chambersburg, PA; two grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-grandson and one step-grandson. She was the last of her immediate family with two brothers preceding her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle with Rev. Martin Horn officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
