Mr. Marlin Swigart Kenepp, 83, of Chambersburg, died Wednesday evening, February 8, 2012, at the nursing home at Menno Haven, Chambersburg. He was the husband of Mrs. Bertha Catherine Negley whom he married on June 13, 1953.

Born November 17, 1928, in Mattawana, he was a son of the late James M. and Catherine Swigart Kenepp. He graduated McVeytown High School in 1946.

In 1972, Mr. Kenepp went to work with Hicks Chevrolet, Buick, Volvo, Greencastle, and retired in 2001. Previously he was a DHI Supervisor in Mifflin County, and worked for ELM Feed store, Greencastle.

He was a member of Spring Run Church of the Brethren, McVeytown.

He enjoyed traveling and had traveled to every state in the Union with the exception of Hawaii, and extensively through western Europe and Nova Scotia. He also had a great appreciation for fine automobiles.

Besides his wife, Mr. Kenepp is survived by siblings Galen Kenepp and wife Joyce of Belleville and Floris Lewis of Lewistown; as well as nieces and nephews, David Kenepp of Lewistown, Beth Livingerhouse and husband Mark of Hershey, and Carol White and husband Travis of Burnham.

The Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, is handling the arrangements. The family will receive friends at Upton Church of the Brethren, 8490 Warm Spring Road, Greencastle, on Monday, February 13, from 9:30 -10:30 AM. The funeral service will begin at the church of Monday at 10:30 AM with interment in the churchyard. Mr. C. Earl Eby and Mr. I. David Shank will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Kenepp''s memory to Mission Aviation Fellowship, PO Box 47, Nampa, Indiana 83653.
