Mark A. Cordell

Mark Alan Cordell, age 54 of 1896 Wood Duck Dr. East Chambersburg and formerly of West Madison St. Greencastle died at 10:00 P.M. Thursday June 30, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

He was born August 5, 1956 in Waynesboro, PA., and was the son of Catherine M. "Kate" (Stumbaugh) Cordell of Chambersburg and the late Harold L. "Jim" Cordell.

Mark attended the Marion First United Methodist Church and the former Lemasters Learning Center. He enjoyed his car, truck and stuffed animal collections, listening to music, watching sports on TV and going to eat at Wendy''s Restaurant.

Surviving family in addition to his mother are three sisters Susan Rae (husband Kenny) Elliott, Chambersburg, PA., Jessie Mae (husband Gary) Horst, Mont Alto, PA., Cathy Ann Scofield (companion Ed Mohn), South Mountain, PA., half sister Saundra (husband Don) Feldman, Chambersburg, PA., several nieces and nephews and a large loving extended family.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday July 5 at 11:00 A.M. from the Browns Mill Cemetery Kauffman with Pastor Chris Renner officiating. There will be no public viewing. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be given in his memory to the Marion First United Methodist Church 94 Colorado St. P.O. Box 382 Marion, PA. 17235 or to the Children''s Hospital at Hershey Medical Center 600 Centerview Dr. P.O. Box 852 Hershey, PA. 17033. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M.
